Gallo Del Cielo, or “Rooster”, has sired several top-level roping and reined cow horses including the 2008 Superhorse “Roo Star”, AQHA World Champion in Heading & Working Cow Horse, LET $135,000. Gallo Del Cielo ranks #5 on the all-time leading reining sires list, as well as siring NRHA Futurity Champions, AQHA World & Reserve World Champions, and point earners of over 1,200 points. He sires classy-headed, big-hipped horses with unmatched athleticism, big stops & cow. My personal “go to” horse is a daughter of Gallo Del Cielo, and she is the greatest combination of athletic talent, trainability and eye appeal of any horse on our place.
Popular Resortfigure amassed an amazing show career in his successful campaign to become 2002 AQHA Superhorse, earning 261 points in roping events plus a top ten qualifier in reined cow horse and $17,000 NRCHA earnings. That year, he won the AQHA World Championship in Jr. Heading & Jr. Heeling, as well as a Reserve World Championship in Calf Roping. Since those great accomplishments, he has built a record of siring Pro-Rodeo caliber roping and barrel horses that compete at the highest level in the rodeo world. A few of his progeny include:
-Trevor Brazile’s #1 Tie-Down Horse “Fantaz Popularresort ” (Deputy), that carried Trevor through all ten rounds of the 2013 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, earning $94,000 with a 3rd place finish in calf roping and 2nd in the average as well as the coveted All-Around title. In addition to this, a few other of his many other accolades include the Timed Event Challenge at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, AQHA World Show Qualifier in Jr. & Am. We purchased this impressive young stallion at the side of his dam from long time AQHA Speed horse breeder and friend, Sonny Booth. He is sired by Best Advice SI 105 (GRADE 3 STAKES WINNER & OK High Point 3YO), a son of Corona Cartel who is out of a daughter of Bullion Bullion. Best Advice was the last stallion prospect hand selected by legendary breeder Walter Merrick before his passing. After a successful tour on the track, Best Advice is now siring the same with speed progeny earners of over $100,000 on the track and in the arena. The bottomside of this colt is equally strong-his dam is Miss Dottie Pepper, a AAA daughter of million dollar sire Roll The Cash. This colt has a bright future-his mind is second to none and he has an incredible amount of speed!
